"In Search of the Golden Nose Plug", started out as a lengthy, serious look at contests and how we should view them.  But somewhere around page one, it turned into a short humor article, that in the long run, expresses my sentiments even better. 

 

During my writing travails, one subject that came to mind was the topic of "Voice" which, in my situation, related to the dreaded, "Purple Prose".  I hope you find "Voice And The Dreaded Purple Prose" interesting, if not thought-provoking. 

 

And finally, I came up with The Terror of Selling...well...after I sold.  It's a humorous, yet factual, account of what my life became like once friends and family actually started reading the stuff I'd been writing for years.
